Retail, Corporate Brands & Food Service
This important and growing area of our domestic business represents approximately 20% of company turnover and covers a wide range of products for the Australian consumer. Products in this division are either marketed by Murray Goulburn under our own Devondale brand or manufactured under contract packing arrangements with major retailers and Food Service wholesalers. Over recent years there has been substantial growth and diversification within this part of our business.
Devondale
Available for purchase through all supermarket chains within Australia, Devondale has grown to become one of the few nationally distributed dairy brands. Major products in this business unit include Dairy Soft Butter Spread, UHT Milk, Tasty, Mild and Reduced Fat Cheddar Cheeses. Value added additions to the Devondale range include the SMART range of Reduced Fat UHT Milks and Devondale Light, a range of 40% Fat Dairy Spreads with 50% less fat than margarines.
These products provide nutritional benefits for the health conscious consumer and have helped Devondale achieve branded leadership in a number of categories in the Australian market.
Corporate Brands
This operating unit covers the manufacture and distribution of specific retail products to all major supermarket chains throughout Australia. Murray Goulburn is a leading supplier to this specialised market segment, developed through long term retail relationships and a history of working closely with customers to meet their exacting standards.
Food Service
Working closely with the major Food Service wholesalers in the Australian market, this division continues to experience strong growth each year. Whilst the majority of sales continues to come from Cheese, Butter and UHT categories, the division has recently commenced a program of product launches into other categories. This program commenced with the launch of a Liquid Cheddar Cheese that offers many behefits to our customers.
