Field Services – Supporting dairy farmers
The Field Services Group is made up of approximately 30 staff based at the 6 regional sites and a small team in the Melbourne head office to manage the share register and the supplier payment and loans department.
Field officers have a varied job role, but provide balanced and impartial views on a range of technical or industry issues, together with the traditional field services role of ensuring regular contact with suppliers to help with milk quality, production and finance issues, or simply offering a friendly face for a chat.
Suppliers wishing to examine their farms financial performance or prospective suppliers who are considering purchasing farms, are offered a range of budgetary and analysis tools that can be used privately, or forwarded as supportive evidence to banks or solicitors.
Budgetary and analysis tools include:
- Income estimations for current or next season.
- Income/Expense budgets for an actual year or “Year-in-Year-Out” basis.
- “What if” modelling for farms considering changes of production system or farms planning growth.
- Assistance with feed and production planning.
